How we look after the information you share with us through this website and shop.
Who we are

What we collect
When you contact us we collect your name, email address or phone number, and your message. When you place a shop order we collect your name, delivery or collection details, email address, order details, and payment information processed by Stripe (we do not store your full card number).
If you create a customer account you may optionally add details about your dogs (for example name, date of birth, and favourite treat) so we can tailor recommendations and offers. If you join our mailing list or opt in to marketing, we collect the contact details you give us for that purpose.
If you subscribe to a monthly treat box, we also use your preset choice, box size, and any protein exclusions you save in your account to pack each month's box. If you add your dog's name, we may print it on your packing note or use it in account messages about your subscription. We use this information only to fulfil your subscription and support your account, not for unrelated marketing unless you have opted in to marketing separately.
When you visit the website we may also collect technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed, through cookies and similar tools (see Cookies below).
Why we collect it
We use your details to respond to enquiries, process and deliver orders, manage trade and customer accounts, keep reasonable business records, and (where you have opted in, or where the law allows) send you marketing about Happy Woofs products, events, and offers. We may also use website analytics and advertising tools to measure how the site is used and to show Happy Woofs ads on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Lawful bases include contract, steps at your request before a contract, consent (for optional cookies and most marketing), and legitimate interests.
Where it goes
Order and enquiry notifications go to happywoofsltd@gmail.com. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Our website and shop infrastructure are provided by Underdown Labs Limited (trading as UF Labs), who act as a data processor on our behalf.
When we run digital advertising, we use Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Instagram and Facebook, including Meta Pixel and related ad tools) as a processor / advertising partner. If you accept optional cookies, Meta may receive technical and interaction data from our site so we can measure and improve ads. Meta processes that data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some of our processors may store or process personal data outside the United Kingdom and European Economic Area, including in the United States. This includes Stripe (card payments) and, if you accept optional advertising cookies, Meta (advertising measurement). Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections offered by those providers. Marketing
Where you have opted in, we may email or message you about products, offers, events, and news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. Optional dog details on your account may be used to personalise offers (for example favourite treats or birthday reminders). We will not use dog details for marketing in a way that is unfair or unexpected.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and order records only as long as needed to fulfil orders and meet tax and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them when no longer required. Marketing lists are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and we periodically tidy inactive contacts.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may ask for a copy of your information, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and (where we rely on consent) you may withdraw consent. Email happywoofsltd@gmail.com. You may complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use essential cookies needed to operate the website and shop (for example security, checkout, basket, and remembering cookie choices). These stay on.
With your consent we may also use optional analytics cookies (for example Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (for example Meta Pixel) so we can understand site use and run Instagram / Facebook ads. You can Accept or Reject optional cookies on the cookie bar when you visit. You can change your mind later using Cookie preferences in the site footer. Rejecting optional cookies does not stop you shopping with us.
